Today I celebrated Little Man's 2nd Birthday. Chef came with me and I met with the ex and of course the ex-inlaws! Grim reminders of why they are all ex's! ha ha
A year has come and gone since I was out in Campbell River. Since then I have suffered from a frozen shoulder (almost a year to recover from that) and barely finished healing from that and my SI joint is now troubling me. With all this -- I'm limited at how long I can sit at my sewing machine! T3's and muscle relaxants are not what I would call "safely sewing!"
I have managed to finish Little Man's "I Spy" quilt. I have never completed a quilt without a proper label and then I thought, "Why not make the label special?" I managed to put the label to the top of the quilt instead of the standard bottom, and I reinforced the fabric by stabilizing it with yet another piece of fabric. Beneath the label at the top I inserted a zipper. Little Man has a "secret" pocket to store his little toys in when he heads to bed. Funny how he always has a few little toys clutched in his hands when he heads to bed! His favorite show is "Pingu", so my first attempt at fusible applique is on the label.
Hope you enjoy this one and comments are always welcome!
