What a beautiful place! I'm visiting with my oldest and my new grandbaby. It's wonderful! Though I do forget how much work those little ones are and how "busy" they can be! I did manage to get some piecing done for my youngest's "Grandmother's Flower Garden" quilt -- though this certainly won't be something that "grandma" would make! It's totally her! So colorful and her!
Thank heavens for Tupperwear sandwich containers! I have one of the first ones that came out. I would struggle with opening it and have my sandwiches spew all over the place once I did manage. Not so bad after all the years I've put it through and the catch works perfectly now. Opens smoothly enough that I can keep the contents inside, but hard enough where little fingers can't open if my back is turned! Perfect to carry all the pieces that I need to get the flowers done. I packed it in my suitcase for fear that the airport authority would confiscate my needles and scissors!
So, for all you beginning quilters -- this is an easy project! Though it may take me years to complete, it's a no-brainer! My only regret is that I didn't bring along my freezer paper to continue.
Oh yes, and I forgot -- STASH -- I'm slowly building it! I even had my daughter stop at the quilt store on the way to her house from the airport! My only regret is that I didn't take a photo (though who could blame me in the pouring rain?) I am sadly lacking stash with "yellow". Have no idea why "yellow" is missing. It's such a happy color.
well, I'd best be off! Happy Quilting everyone!
