surgeon said lots of bone chips
thumb wired to base of pointer finger for 4 weeks
peekaboo next week with surgeon
incisions starting to itch
ice is my friend
sleep better sleeping sitting up
right hand hurting from using it too much
i can pull up my pants by myself!

Feel better. What Happened?
just pain in my left thumb. right hand dominant. getting worse as i typed. limited my quilting, then could not open door..wring a cloth..typing painful. had my left trapezium removed and rebuilt with tendons. apparently there were lots of bone chips from bone being on bone.
Oh, Margo, the pants part is a real blessing. I remember having a problem with a finger and that was just the hardest thing! We take so much for granted. I hope the four weeks goes by quickly, and maybe even it's less time than that.
Looking Good - Nice hair, Chef did a great job - now he just needs to learn to french braid =D
